Soline bay is immersed in the sea on one side and with grandiose green pines on the other. Pines are a trademark of most of the Soline bay and adjacent picturesque village Cizici with its beautiful sandy beach.
The bay is also safest shelter from the local winds in the entire eastern coast of Krk. The bottom of the bay is muddy and thus suitable and safe for anchorage. The coast is mild and very accessible - great for sailors and sea lovers alike.
Solin bay is a natural phenomenon due to its warm and shallow sea. The sea is warm almost six months of the year which makes it an attractive summer resort spot. Because of the shallowness and the closure of the bay, the sea temperature in the bay is higher than surrounding sea, so the swimming season starts in mid spring and lasts until late autumn.
Healing mud (silt), beneficial for the skin and the treatment of various rheumatic diseases, can be located nearby which brings additional appeal to the area for many tourist and visitors.
The immediate vicinity of the medicinal mud, rugged coastline and preserved nature with no hotels nearby affirms this area as an attractive tourist destination and private condo type resort spot.
In only a few minutes on foot, you will reach the newly renovated pebble beaches, small ports, promenades, parks and children's park.

It’s worth mentioning…
Dobrinj is a medieval castle town located on a hill just above the Soline bay, rich in historic points of interest with a gallery and museum.
"Soline" actually means salt evaporation ponds, also salt pans, for many salt pans in the area dating back many centuries ago. Later in history, in the Middle Ages when salt was highly valued the salt pans were owned by the royal family, the Frankopans.
Natural suitability for sea salt production of this area is obvious. The sea tide submerges the Meline salt pans and after a low tide and when the sea dries out, the only thing that remains is natural and pure sea salt.
The shellfish farm is located in the northern part of the Soline bay. Oysters from the Soline bay were first mentioned in the 16th century. Saline is considered the most suitable locality for the cultivation of shellfish on the entire Adriatic east coast, especially mussels and oysters, but this advantage is not currently used.
A few kilometers north of the bay we can find the Biserujka cave. It’s only 110 meters, but rich with stalagmites and stalactites. It is open to the public only since 1997, but today it is one of the most visited caves in Croatia.
Closest camping and mobile home ground is located in Klimno.
All local villages in the bay have moorings for boats. Most of them are in Klimno where in addition to the local port there is a marina and dry dock. In recent years port in Cizici saw great expansion and refurbishment.
